Kiss of perfection
‘Teen Oct. 1961.
The twentieth century was frosted by ongoings that would mark the society’s development: since the universal suffrage until women’s freedom, the previous century is charged with feminin symbols that are exacerbated by the resource to vintage and retro ads.
As a matter of fact, vintage designs suffered a change of global perception frankly positive: if formely they were considered as being outdated, looking old and dull, nowadays, we assist to a return to vintage looking in various areas such as design, fashion and trends, as it is visible a large variety of benefits that vintage has to offer to modern graphic design.
Vintage ads are synonymous of nostalgic design feelings and old memories. Furthermore, retro can look cool and offer readers or visitors something they haven’t expected at all. So why not try to impress them with some impressive vintage art for a change?
Below you’ll find the celebration of retro and vintage design — ads, illustrations, book covers, pins and posters from 1920-1980s. As vintage is living today, the images weren’t necessarily created in the mid of 20th century.
Have a delightfull visual journey with fifties, sixties and seventies memories!
