Imagine cement. Now imagine a lamp made by… cement. Weird? It might be weird, but is it really impossible? Dutch designer Renate Vos made it possible by using various materials together to bring this strong lamp to life.
The ‘concrete lamp’ fuses silicone rubber and cement – the jagged meeting point of the two contrasting mediums celebrating the fusion of soft and hard. A soft glow permeates the rubber-like fringe and heavy duty steel wire suspends the mass.
