Karl started this talk saying that ‘white is good but overrated’. This is something that we respect but can’t agree with. But let’s continue… The speaker tried to catch our attention and to show the big importance of color by reminding that Google turned a greenish blue to a reddish blue and increased 200 Million. It really is important to make a distinction between passion intuition and rationality, like he said.

1977-y95r, Ferrari’s color, is one of the most famous colors of the world. We need to be able to explain color differences like Coca-Cola red and Ferrari red but we also need to be aware that color is psychology. Red makes us nervous because we think about cars accidents and blood. Colors have big effects on us!

Color trends really have to do with market psychology and the way how people process colors. For instance, the tv series Orange is the New Black caused people to start using more orange. People were prepared to receive orange as a trend.

Dr Leo Ober Ascher also says that trends are a psychological circle. The local color trend is normally different in other cities or countries. So, this is a matter of global influences: people everywhere tend to live in urban areas in small houses. Many of the trends are a mental state you want to escape. But of course that the digital world and social media are also crucial.
