London Festival of Architecture 2019: Best Events And Exhibitions
London Festival of Architecture 2019 kicked off on June 1st and there’s plenty for you too see and be delighted by. Taking place all throughout the month of June, the London Festival of Architecture is filled with performances and installations, workshops and overall a one of a kind experience.
To kick off the month of June, we have the London Festival of Architecture theme that is… Boundaries. Participants from all the corners are exploring the borders of architecture with plenty of inspiration to it. With over 400 events taking place all over the place, this is the time to start scrolling!
Dulwich Pavilion 2019: The Colour Palace 12 – 30 June
“Designed to stand out alongside the John Soane-designed 19th-century gallery, the colourful pavilion will host a programme of talks and theatre performances.”, Dezeen. Designed by architecture studio Pricegore and artist Yinka Ilori, this astounding place is to be visited with company!
Imagine “alternate future architectures” is the motto of these installations. V&A museum invited 15 architecture practices and with astounding paper models as seen above are going to be exhibiting all over the museum. Among the chosen practices are OMMX, Hayatsu Architects, Office S&M, Madelon Vriesendorp, Interrobang, Akil Skafe-Smith, Mobile Studio, WUH architecture, Makespace, Zaha Hadid Architects, PUP Architects, Sarah Wigglesworth, Prince + Selasi and Office Sian.
All Design presents an All Alsop Whistlestop Tour 1 June – 30 June
Founded by the late Will Alsop, the All Design architecture studio is inviting people to take a self-guided tour. Be it walking or on public transport, visitors are going to be able to see the architects best-known buildings throughout the city. Starting by the recently completed Neuron Pod in Whitechapel, you’ll be able to se the Stirling Prize-winning Peckham Library.
