📍 Melbourne Design Week 2020: The Trends You Need To Check!
Every year, the Melbourne Design Week offers the world 11 days of pure art and, this time, is no exception! By the end of this week, the fair starts and there are high expectations!
With the motto “How design can shape life”, the design eventwill feature over 80 exhibitions, 22 tours and 16 workshops which will allow you to be deeply involved in the local, the national and the international design.
You can count with the present of important personalities like Francis Kéré, Debbie Millmanm, Bas van Abel and Tim Ross to give some extra glamour to the festival. As exhibition highlights the fair will have the Tolarno Galleries, the Sophie Gannon Gallery and the Gallery Sally Dan–Cuthbert.
The making of these projects were influenced on the these 5 points: healthy cities, design cultures, waterfront, waste and design evolution. So, when it comes to trends and styles the Melbourne Design Week will be a melting pot of ideas. We´ve selected some of the piecesthat will be there!
📍 LYON HOUSEMUSEUM GALLERIES X ARTBANK: COLLECTING CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
The Lyon Housemuseum Galleries & Artbank will present their projects which cross contemporary and vintage style. In that way, they will be breaking the traditional boundaries that separate art from functional objects.
Presented by Åbäke, Sofie Dederen, Radim Peško and Brad Haylock this collection of borrowed vintageartefacts explores how graphic designcan change your life as sometimes we forget the difference between reality and fiction.
