This incredible architect and designer of international renown was born in Florence in 1938, and since 1970 moved to Milan. Andrea Branzi was the founder of Archizoom Associati. His works are exposed in the main capitals of the world. He is with no doubt a man with a vision and a strong personality.
Andrea Branzi in his exbihition “The primitve Metropolis” gives us a vision of the present urban situation, where the new cognitive capacity of humanity transcends some physical and cultural traditions in order to offer primordial freedom.
Over the years, Andrea Branzi has been doing and creating graphic works, models of environments out of this world. This one is specially inspired in the primordial era.
“The primitive metropolis” exhibits a lot of sculptural objects made of different materials such as plasticine, wood, stone, bronze and Plexigas. In this project you can find the simplicity of the chairs, just made out of logs, bodies without heads and some mirrors are instaled around some pieces to give the idea of an infinite reflection.
The architect is also known for combining unprocessed pieces of nature, such as branches and tree trunks with other materials such as industrial joinery. He has a collection of sculptural objects, which combine those same elements as you can see below.
In this piece we can see the vibrant colors he uses in the project such as red, blue and red. The same colors of sinatra floor, this amazing floor lamp.
