Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband are frequently in NYC. That’s why they bought this amazing apartment in the downtown area.
Let’s check it out!
Jesse Tyler Ferguson has not only been famous because of his role in the 10’s hit show Modern Family, but he has also been a frequent actor on some of Broadway‘s Tony awarded productions such as The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Let’s take a look at the apartment he lives in half of the year, together with his husband Justin Mikita.

The first room we’ll be checking out in Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s apartment is the living room. The whole room is clearly set in 3 colours: blue, beige/brown, and white. Like the rest of the apartment, the mid-century style is everywhere. And because it is an NYC apartment, it is full of hidden cabinets. Because, to find an apartment, in NYC, with enough storage space; that’s a real quest. That’s why almost every corner and every designer piece has some storage function. Look for example at the side tables next to the big blue sofa, the table lights are on top of big boxes that store books and magazines. Talking about table lights, the one you see in the right corner of this picture looks a lot like the Miles table lamp.

The second room in Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s apartment is the kitchen, also very much mid-century styled. The main aspect that it’s a very open and wide space, with a lot of lights and a cute centre area to eat. However, it’s not the kitchen itself that captioned our attention. It’s what you see on the left side of it that makes this kitchen so special.
As Jesse Tyler Ferguson is the cook of the couple he mostly spends time in this area. And there’s a legend that a rooster brings luck into a kitchen, so they put on a neon light in their kitchen that projects a rooster. It made me think of a letter that they could perfectly fit under the rooster, on the little cart, the red graphic letter K (for Kitchen).
The next room in Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s NYC apartment is the master bedroom. Again, blue is on the winning hand if we analyse the colours used in the bedroom where the couple spends most of its nights in NYC. Just look at the amazingly soft and high-quality materials used from the top to the bottom of the room. Although these wall lamps seem nice, we can do better by adding some extra touch of mid-century with the Pastorius wall lamp.

And the last room we want to show you is where Jesse Tyler Ferguson works during the moments his husband has to go out producing. The home office is, in fact, located in the guest/second bedroom. Because there’s not that much space, and it would be a shame not to use all the space they have. To make the space less boring, we would change the kind of very sad table lamp with the Billie table lamp. Bringing some mid-century fun into the room.

You see, like Jesse Tyler Ferguson said: “It’s really difficult to find a space in NYC where you have enough space and storage space.” And we can only say that he, and his husband, have done an amazing job.
