It\u2019s amazing to see the journey of Francis Sultana<\/strong><\/em>! A history of 10 years, filled with amazing design projects<\/strong><\/em> and unique furniture design pieces<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0\u201cWhen I set up my own practice 10 years ago, it was a big step to leave the [David Gill] gallery to follow the dream I always had, as I had previously put this aside to help David to establish the gallery.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design studio is based in the same building as Favid Gill Gallery, where Sultana is nowadays the Artistic Director. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe joy of seeing a project completed and a sense of achievement. Perfection, or the\u00a0pursuit it, is my biggest demon \u2013 and perfection does not exist but it is what pushes me to\u00a0continue.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Francis Sultana is the name chosen for many international designers that have huge contemporary art and design collections<\/em><\/strong>. The interior designer doesn\u2019t hide the passion for bespoke design<\/em><\/strong>, and he tells that all his amazing projects and designs were inspired by his travel experiences and people he have met. \u201cLoved for his unique ability to merge the residential requirements of a domestic space with often large scale\u00a0visual art<\/strong>, sculpture, and installation pieces, his\u00a0design studio<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>is working on projects in the UK and across Europe as well as in China and in the US. \u2018Most of his clients are people with a unique\u00a0creative vision<\/strong>\u00a0that also to enjoy the journey at this level where we commission and inspire'\u201d, explained\u00a0Francis Sultana.<\/strong><\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI always collaborate with designers and artists like Mattia Bonetti, Michele Oka Doner as\u00a0well as luxury design houses such as Puiforcat and Hermes<\/strong><\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is considered one of the best interior designers by several international publications, and he was also a UK designer to be featured in Architectural Digest USA\u2019s annual AD100<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/em>His inspiring interiors are usually featured in magazines all over the world. Actually, he was the only British designer invited to be part of AD Collections in Paris. \u201cNow that my first book project is completed ahead of its publication [in November with Vendome] I have already started to embark on a project \u2013 a play. It\u2019s a dream that I must follow. Then of course there is my cultural and diplomatic path, as Ambassador of Culture for Malta which is still in its infancy but one I am very excited to continue on<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, he was announced as Ambassador of Culture or Malta, where he\u2019s taking care of the opening of the new museum space that will open in 2021. \u201cI see design pieces that the design is more \u201c3D Animated\u201d that could well become a trend, it reminds me of the influences of Memphis in a parallel way.\u201d However, Sultana wants to believe that the future of the\u00a0<\/em>design industry<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0relies on sustainable projects that respect the environment. \u201cQuality lasts, which ultimately means sustainability. In the end, I always wanted to create antiques of the future creating pieces that are timeless and can support our fragile world\u201d, said the\u00a0<\/em>interior and furniture designer.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/a> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there is also another reason to celebrate Francis\u2019 amazing career: he has just finished one of the most important projects from these ten years! His project was the first major retail project! A very ambicious soul, that considers that he hasn\u2019t achieved all his golas yet. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the design studio, he will be lauching this Fall, a large format book, publiched by Vend\u00f4me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
