One World Trade Center<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Although it may remind us of one of the saddest days ever and the day the whole world stopped, it is a great opportunity to remember and honor the ones who lost their lives there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 years after the terrorist attacks that destroyed the Twin Towers, in 2014. the building was finally concluded, after a rocky road, but the final winner is so amazing, that we find it to be one of the main attractions when visiting NYC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"Suspension<\/a>\n\n\n\n

Oculus<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

It was too expensive but this spiky shell, which crowns the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, has quickly become a place where New Yorkers and tourists usually go to hang out or relax a little bit between schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one is actually a train station, the most expensive one in the whole world, and of course, it had to be in New York, right? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

56 Leonard Street<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Despite being called \u201cdoubtful\u201d in the fifth edition of the AIA Guide to New York City, published before the building\u2019s completion, the called Jenga Tower has indeed become a powerful icon of New York\u2019s skyline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This towering stack of boxes, completed in February 2013 is a 60-story condo designed by Herzog & de Meuron has now a lot of buyers willing to pay a really big amount for its condos.

Flatiron Building<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The Flatiron Building was once one of the tallest buildings in New York City. Although it\u2019s lost that distinction, its triangular shape that resembles a clothes iron helps it stay one of the city\u2019s most recognizable buildings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designated a\u00a0New York City landmark\u00a0in 1966,\u00a0it was added to the\u00a0National Register of Historic Places\u00a0in 1979\u00a0and was designated a\u00a0National Historic Landmark\u00a0in 1989. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empire State Building<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

There may be taller buildings or more innovative ones, but this Art Deco beauty is perhaps New York City\u2019s most beloved building. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a crime going to New York and not contemplate this iconic building. It was the tallest skyscraper in the world upon completion in 1931 (surpassing the Chrysler Building, which was finished the previous year), and remained so until the original World Trade Center appeared. Its mark on the skyline is indelible, but it\u2019s also a pop-culture icon, having appeared in movies and TV shows and varied as the original King Kong, Sleepless in Seattle, and Doctor Who. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chrysler Building<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Although the Empire State Building is the best-known of New York City\u2019s skyscrapers, this one is perhaps the city\u2019s loveliest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was very briefly the tallest building in the world, as we told you before, but the stunning Art Deco architecture makes it unique and totally different than all the others. Known for its elegant, terraced crown, with a sunburst pattern, its grand eagles, and the radiator caps (an homage to the company whose name graces the building).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"DL<\/a>\n\n\n\n

The Vessel is a structure and landmark built as part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project in Manhattan. It is a pretty recent building since its construction began in April 2017 and it opened on March 15, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being the main feature of the 5-acre Hudson Yards Public Square its final cost is expected to be $200 million. The elaborate honeycomb-like structure rises 16 stories and consists of 154 flights of stairs and 80 landings for visitors to climb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The structure owners have asked the public to give it a formal name and even created a website devoted to this. One of the most discussed names on social media was \u201cThe Shawarma\u201d, after the cone-shaped Middle Eastern meat popular on street carts, however, \u201cThe Vessel\u201d was the final winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
