Know as the lighting poet<\/em>, Michael Anastassiades<\/a><\/em><\/strong> was born in Cyprus, and has moved to the United Kingdom, London, when he was 20 years old. Today he\u2019s officialy\u00a0Maison et Objet Designer of The Year\u00a02020<\/a><\/em><\/strong>! In 1994, he founded his studio, however it was in 2007 that he decided to established himself in the world of lighting design with a unique point of view. In that same year, he participated for the first time in Maison et Objet Paris, and 13 years after, he\u2019s back with the special exhibition Sixteen Acts<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time ever, Michael is presenting his 16 lighting creations at the same time, bringing a unique environment to Hall 7 at Maison et Objet Paris<\/strong> 2020. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA choreographic scenario, a dark scenario: the lights will be activated from the engines, they will have a dialogue with each other and with the space, in a meditative experience. It will be a performance, not a simple product show \u201c<\/em>, claims Michael. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspirations Blog<\/em> was at this beautiful scene and the scenario is exactly how Michael described! Unique lighting creations that will mesmerize you! On the first day of Maison et Objet, he had a conferenced named Light & Space<\/em><\/strong>, explaining his projects and inspirations and how he gets inpiration for this unique point of view when it comes to lighting design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The designer has important partnerships with renowed designn brands such as Flos, B&B Italia, Gtv and Cassina<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2007, Michael shared that his exhibition was a small space, not bigger than a table. However, today he\u2019s the designer of the year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
