Annabelle managed to find small projects she could do by herself, giving her the chance to explore her creativity. Annabelle was the founder of Selldorf Architects,<\/span><\/em><\/strong> <\/a>a specialized architectural studio that has worked with public and private projects, from museums to libraries, from rebuild facilities to the construction of new big-scale design projects. Design has more importance in our lives than we think; it can actually emerge feelings and emotions, and nowadays it has been seen as a tool to solve the world\u2019s biggest issues (for instance, Global Warming). Architecture and interior design projects<\/a><\/em><\/strong> have to reflect the client, in order to fulfil its needs and wishes. Annabella<\/a><\/em><\/strong> practice, however, transcends any niche classification, with projects ranging from a recently completed recycling center in Brooklyn to a drive-in Manhattan high-rise to the exquisite villas at Utah\u2019s Amangiri resort. Recently, the firm has unveiled a new Manhattan outpost (built to LEED Gold standards) for art dealer David Zwirner, its exterior, lobby, and central stairwell clad in rugged board-formed concrete, smartly accented with teak. And she is currently at work on structures for the forthcoming Parc des Ateliers, an art-and-research center in Arles, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
