Due to current events, Art Basel Miami Beach will go virtual this year, but its sister fair, Design Miami<\/a>, has decided to go another way. A socially distant, but more intimate Design Miami <\/a>will take place at the Moore Building in Miami Design District<\/a>, from November 27 to December 6. Inspirations Blog will unveil some of the most important features of the design event<\/a>, so continue scrolling to discover more. <\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This 16th edition<\/a><\/em><\/strong> will take place at the same venue that launched the fair in 2005. The Podium exhibition<\/em><\/strong> will be held on the four floors of the historic building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"midzine-digitalshows\"<\/a>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re thinking about the safety and health protocols, everything is ensured: Design Miami<\/a><\/em><\/strong> will implement a mandatory mask policy, temperature checks on arrival, a contactless entry process and timed entries, where tickets have to be purchased in advance. <\/strong>Here<\/span><\/strong> <\/a>you can find more information about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of the fair will be America (s)<\/em><\/strong> and the main goal is to understand America and identify it \u201cthrough the juxtaposition of important works of design and craftsmanship\u201d<\/em>, Shanghai-based Chicago director of curator Aric Chen. On this year\u2019s edition of the design event, Podium will be launched that will allow both galleries and individual designers to exhibit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the fair collaborations include a rooftop lounge design by \u201cTakashi Murakami for Perrier, the Curiosity Cloud installation by Austrian design firm mischer\u2019traxler for Perrier-Jou\u00ebt, and a concept design by the Nigerian architect and designer Tosin Oshinowo and Anglo-Ghanaian textile designer Chrissa Amuah for Lexus.\u201d<\/em>, UK Time News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
