Every December, design lovers and professionals<\/a><\/em><\/strong> are anxious to find out what shade Pantone will select as its Color of the Year<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong>. The Color Institute<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>is considered the God of Color Schemes, and after months of every paint brand under the sun releasing their own color for 2021 predictions, the experts at Pantone finally reveal their choice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pantone<\/a><\/em><\/strong> has decided not to select one hue as the singular Color of the Year for 2021<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, and instead of that, it chose two distinct colors that represent the mindset with which all of us are approaching the end of 2020. 2020 was a year filled with unknowns and \u201cthe selection of two independent colors highlights show different elements come together to express a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting, conveying the idea that it\u2019s not about one color or one person, it\u2019s about more than one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is the first time since 2016 that Pantone has crowned two shades as the ultimate Color of the Year, but Eiseman explains that choosing a pair of independent colors is a way to reflect what is happening around the world. Particularly this year, when so many lives have been upturned by the Covid-19 pandemic.\u201d says MyDomaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two shades are PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Choosing this color duo is a message \u201cof strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting,\u201d<\/em> according to Pantone<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimate Gray<\/em><\/strong> is \u201cemblematic of solid and dependable elements which are everlasting and provide a firm foundation,\u201d while Illuminating is \u201ca bright and cheerful yellow sparkling with vivacity, a warming yellow shade imbued with solar power.\u201d according to Pantone Institute of Color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
