\u201cThe inspiration for this estate started with the light ash grey bark of the surrounding trees and the clients\u2019 love for astronomy. Custom brass Amuneal railings, cabinets, paneling, two tone beveling, fireplaces, and vault door were spotted throughout the property giving the aesthetic a steampunk appeal. Jane Hallworth\u2019s Aquila Constellation wall fixture, Jean De Merry\u2019s Lumiere Chandeliers, Ben and Aja Blanc\u2019s Moon light and twinkling theater lights makeup only a small portion of the decorative lighting in this home.\u00a0 The home has Adam Hunter custom rugs throughout.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thing we love most about interior design is the ability of experts to transform the atmosphere, no matter where we\u2019re located. \u201cThe edgy and eclectic pattern play are used throughout the home are used to interpret the client\u2019s vision. Earthy tones and textures are infused in each room providing a more neutral palette and providing a sense of a warm environment. A fantastic departure is featured in the basement suite \u2013 an NYC vibe inclusive of subway tile, brass accents, and exposed plumbing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high-contrast combination is sophisticated and dramatic.\u00a0It is possible to combine the color of furniture, space, decorations to create the perfect modern classic style<\/em><\/strong>. To make this style even more atractive, the\u00a0designer <\/strong><\/em>displayed a statement lighting piece and other accessories but not exaggerating it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, we take you on a tour of an amazing and inspiring\u00a0Los Angeles apartment<\/strong><\/em>. Inspired by Architectural Digest\u2019s article, we want to show a fantastic, exclusive and full of personality L.A. apartment, which is own by\u00a0Adam Hunter<\/strong>, a famous American interior designer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The importance of having an amazing place to rest and to be with friends, the place we call home, is undebatable, so when a unit became available in Los Angeles\u2019s iconic Shoreham Towers building, it felt like fate. \u201cIt was a total\u00a0Eat, Pray, Love<\/em>\u00a0moment,\u201d says the Broadway star turned decorator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It is a place full of energy, but energy does not decorate homes. Untouched since the late 60\u2019s, the apartment was not very welcoming the way the owner wanted, so, the design team and the contractor removed every interior wall in the 1,000-square-foot space to create a blank canvas.
The white-oak flooring was made and came from France and installed in a classic chevron pattern that extends to the master bath and balconies, where it is replicated in tile. The ceiling was dropped roughly five inches throughout to achieve, in Hunter\u2019s words, a \u201chalo\u201d effect using acrylic lenses that lie flush with the drywall instead of recessed lighting; recessed curtains frame the panoramic views of the city below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the kitchen, the designer cantilevered the island so that it appears to be floating, a month-long process that involved soldering the marble into the wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bedroom has a sophisticated and elegant vibe, with amazing and colorful decor details that give this space some extra personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
