Aquick confession: we love all our kitchen cabinets, but if we had to pick a favorite spot in the heart of the home, it\u2019s all about the island. There\u2019s just no denying that this free-floating prep-and-storage superhero is the centerpoint of any functional family kitchen<\/a>\u2014quite literally, since it\u2019s smack-in-the-middle of the action. (And that goes double for when you\u2019re hosting houseguests\u2014ever notice that cocktail parties always seem to gravitate toward the island, no matter what?). <\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Among so many drop-dead beautiful works, we can\u2019t deny Marston Hills project caught our eye! Eliminating the barrier between the kitchen and social spaces not only\u00a0works for gatherings, but also opens up your floor plan, giving it the illusion of more square footage.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
