Six influential figures from the design industry nominated six Italian\u00a0rising talents. Today we are going to unveil who they are!<\/h2>\n

Today we are going to present you the six Rising Talents of Maison et Objet 2018<\/strong><\/em> and explain to you why they are another reason why you can\u2019t miss this unique trade show. This year the Rising Talents will be from Italy since every edition young designers from a different country are invited to present their work to the design industry.<\/p>\n

\nSix inspiring mentors were called upon to name one Rising Talent each.\u00a0Andrea Branzi, Piero Lissoni, Luca Nichetto, Art Director Giulio Cappellini, gallerist and contemporary design icon Rossana Orlandi and acclaimed fashion designer Rosita Missoni were the six influential figures that have picked anonymous but promising young designers.
\nFederica Biasi, Antonio Facco, Marco Lavit Nicora, Kensaku Oshiro, Federico Peri and Guglielmo Poletti are the six Italian designers who are going to have the extraordinary opportunity to show their unique potential\u00a0to the entire design community. Keep scrolling in order to meet them!

The Six Rising Talents<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Federica Biasi nominated by Andrea Branzi<\/h3>\n

\"Maison\u201cI chose Federica Biasi for her quintessential design and poetic ideas, which deliver subtle, yet very particular messages,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0commented Andre Branzi, her mentor for the\u00a0Rising Talent Awards Italy<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 A 2011 graduate of the Istituto Europeo di Design,\u00a0Federica Biasi\u2019s work<\/a>\u00a0is largely inspired by the simple lines of Northern European design. She has already worked as Art Director for Mingardo, while collaborating as a Creative Consultant with various brands, including Fratelli Guzzini.<\/p>\n

Federico Peri nominated by Luca Nichetto<\/h3>\n

\"Maison<\/a><\/em>
\n\u201cI\u2019ve noticed in his work a natural inclination to design products as a way to create an experience through materials or the environment produced by the objects themselves,\u201d Italian designer Luca Nichetto commented. \u201cIt is this type of completely instinctual process that makes Federico particularly interesting on the Italian scene. But it\u2019s also what gives him immense potential abroad. I am especially curious to see how his approach will evolve as he shifts towards more industrial processes. The result will most likely be very moving.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Federico Peri\u00a0<\/a>has collaborated with companies like FontanaArte, and has his limited-edition pieces displayed at the Milan-based Nilufar Gallery. At Maison et Objet Paris, he will be presenting his limited-edition products, as well as series- produced pieces.<\/p>\n

Marco Lavit Nicora nominated by Rosita Missoni<\/h3>\n

\"Maison<\/a>
\nFor fashion designer Rosita Missoni,\u00a0\u201cMarco Lavit Nicora is a young talent, heir to a long line of Italian designers who have placed function at the core of their practice and who have learned to use only the best materials and artisans our country has to offer to achieve that vision. I was especially moved by how light his pieces look, despite the fact that they are deeply anchored in classical design.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>At Maison et Objet January,\u00a0Marco Lavit Nicora\u00a0<\/a>will be presenting his Venezia collection,\u00a0the Reconvexo table and Atem, a modular sofa, all produced exclusively by Milan-based Nilufar Gallery, and a dazzling project: a chest of drawers incorporating a table and stool.

Antonio Facco nominated by Giulio Cappellini<\/h3>\n

\"Maison<\/a>
\nThe reason why\u00a0Giulio Cappellini<\/a>, Art Director of the eponymous Italian brand, picked him as his Rising Talent is plain and simple:\u00a0\u201cDespite his young age, Antonio Facco is very attentive to\u00a0<\/em>changes in contemporary design and to communication. His projects are largely inspired by his observations of the younger generations, of their expectations and their behaviours. He has also developed a keen interest in materials and production methods, whether industrial or artisanal. His projects are always surprising, because they are the perfect synthesis of his thought process and sensitive nature. I believe Antonio Facco is truly one of the most promising representatives of the new design trends in Italy.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Antonio Facco has designed products for Cappellini and has collaborated with other major international architects, bra, ds and designers, such as Antonlini, Bolon, AgustaWestland, and Mohm.<\/p>\n

Kensaku Oshiro nominated by Piero Lissoni<\/h3>\n

\"Maison<\/a>
\nFor architect and designer Piero Lissoni, who has worked with him for eight years, Kensaku Oshiro\u2019s work bridges\u00a0\u201cthe gap between the Japanese and Western perspectives on simplicity\/complexity.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>He opened his own studio and started working with such brands as Boffi, De Padova, Gan, Glas Italia, Kristalia, Ligne Roset, Poltrona Frau,\u00a0Viccarbe\u00a0and Zanotta. At Maison et Objet 2018,\u00a0Kensaku Oshiro<\/a>\u00a0will be presenting some of his most meaningful pieces.<\/p>\n

Guglielmo Poletti nominated by Rossana Orlandi<\/h3>\n

\"Maison<\/a>
\n\u201cLike many other designers who graduated from this school, his work is strongly influenced by an experimental approach,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0explained uber-famous contemporary design icon Rossana Orlandi.\u00a0\u201cBut what moved me most in\u00a0<\/em>his work is the extreme simplicity he has developed, to a point where the simplicity itself becomes an integral part, a fundamental quality in everything he does.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0But that is not all.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m also happy to have chosen Guglielmo because I\u00a0<\/em>see in him a proactive and dynamic mind, someone who thrives in fluid situations, who is constantly living in anticipation of the next projects to come. And I believe these qualities are crucial to find a path that allows you to keep growing with a very personal vision.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>For Maison et Objet,\u00a0Guglielmo Poletti<\/a>\u00a0will be showing different pieces from his Equilibrium series.<\/p>\n
