\nToday, we give you the opportunity to travel with Sinatra Lamp<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. This mid-century design<\/em> <\/strong>was inspired by Frank Sinatra\u2019s song \u201cNew York, New York\u201d. Come aboard and see which were the most important events when this iconic singer was born!<\/p>\n

1915<\/h3>\n

\"We<\/a>
\nThe\u00a0birth\u2019s year\u00a0of this great and beloved singer, was market by tragedy.
\n1915 witnessed a number of major battles in World War One. This year was also the year when poison gas was used for the first time.
\nFortunately, this year was also the year of the birth of one of the best-selling music artists of all time! So, let\u2019s remember the highlights of his career!<\/p>\n

1935<\/h3>\n

\"We<\/a>
\nSinatra began singing professionally as a teenager, but he learned music by ear and never learned to read music He got his first break when his mother persuaded a local singing group, the 3 Flashes, to let him join.<\/p>\n

1938<\/h3>\n

\"We<\/a>
\nIn 1938, Sinatra found employment as a singing waiter at a roadhouse called \u201cThe Rustic Cabin\u201d, in New Jersey. Thanks to his vocal training, Sinatra could now sing two tones higher, and developed a repertoire which included songs such as \u201cMy Buddy\u201d, \u201cWillow Weep for Me\u201d and\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s Funny to Everyone But Me\u201d.<\/p>\n

1940<\/h3>\n

\"We<\/a>
\nTommy Dorsey was a major influence on Sinatra and became a father figure. Sinatra copied Dorsey\u2019s mannerisms and traits, becoming a demanding perfectionist like him, even adopting his hobby of toy trains.
\n\"We<\/a>DelightFULL was also inspired by Tommy Dorsey and the designers decided to\u00a0create Dorsey Lamp<\/a>, a huge success!
\nIn his first year with Dorsey, Sinatra recorded over forty songs! But after the 1942 recordings, Sinatra believed he needed to go solo, with an insatiable desire to compete with Bing Crosby.<\/p>\n

1942 \u2013 1945<\/h3>\n

\"We<\/a>
\nSinatra did not serve in the military during World War II because of a perforated eardrum.
\nHowever, he entertained the troops during several successful overseas USO tours. Sinatra worked frequently with the popular Andrews Sisters in radio the 1940s, and many USO shows were broadcasted to the troops.<\/p>\n

1946 \u2013 1952<\/h3>\n

\"We<\/a>
\nIn 1946, Frank Sinatra launched his first album, \u201c The Voice of Frank Sinatra\u201d. Sinatra sang on 160 radio shows, recorded 36 times, and shot four films. By\u00a0this time,\u00a0he was performing on stage up to 45 times a week, singing up to 100 songs daily.<\/p>\n

1982 \u2013 1998<\/h3>\n

\"We<\/a>
\nSinatra was awarded the second \u201cElla Award\u201d by the Los Angeles-based Society of Singers, and performed for a final time with Ella Fitzgerald at the award ceremony.
\n\"We<\/a>DelightFULL was also inspired by the great Ella Fitzgerald, so designers created Ella Lamp<\/a>. Stunning like her, right?
\nIn 1995, to mark Sinatra\u2019s 80th birthday, the Empire State Building glowed blue. At the end of the tribute, Sinatra: 80 Years My Way, Sinatra graced the stage for the last time to sing the final notes of the \u201cTheme from New York, New York\u201d.<\/p>\n

2011<\/h3>\n

The first member of DelightFULL\u2019s Sinatra<\/em> Family was born. Based in all the historical and personal events, it is easy to understand why DelightFULL did this tribute. With its mid-century modern<\/em><\/strong> touch, it is one of the most peculiar and colorful pieces!<\/p>\n
