Organized every year by M&O, the \u201cRising Talent Awards<\/strong><\/em>\u201d is ready to give the chance to 6 Emerging Talents from Lebanon<\/strong><\/em>!<\/h4>\n

The \u201cRising Talent Awards<\/em>\u201d is a platform, organized every single year by one of the most important international trade shows \u2013 Maison et Objet<\/strong> <\/em>\u2013 that gives the opportunity to emerging talents to present their work for a very influential international public! This year, M&O 2018<\/strong> <\/em>decided to give the chance to the Lebanese Talents<\/em><\/strong>! Get to know a little more about the six chosen ones!<\/p>\n

\nMaison et Objet \u2018s<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0upcoming edition will take place at the \u2018Parc des Expositions\u2019, on the 7th to the 11th of September, and the second edition of this years brings a lot of surprises!

\n\"Meet<\/a>
\nEvery single year, the International Trade Show<\/em><\/strong>, has a platform named \u201cRising Talent Awards\u201d, and this year, they decided to give a shot to the Lebanese Designers to present their work to an international public. We\u2019ll be able to witness the future of Lebanese design<\/em><\/strong>, and meet these rising design starts!

\nOne member of the Jury from \u201cRising talent Awards<\/em>\u201c, believe that the choice will make a huge impact.<\/p>\n

The essential characteristic of design in Lebanon is the multiplicity of its influences. There is no cultural standard, no industrial heritage, and therefore no \u2018ideology\u2019 on function, whether formalized or otherwise. It is a great liberty<\/em>\u00a0\u2026\u201d Marc Baround, designer and member of the selection jury<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The names chosen by the selected jury were Carlo Massoud, Marc Dibeh, Carla Baz, Anastasia Nysten, Caramel Studio <\/strong>and Paola Sakr, <\/strong>and we are sure that they\u2019ll present, the best way possible, the future of their national design, by using different techniques and elevating design and craftsmanship.

\nNow, it\u2019s time to get to know these selected Lebanese Designers. Jump in and be amazed by their work!<\/p>\n

Carlo Massoud<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"Meet<\/a>
\nCarlo Massoud graduated from ECAL in Switzerland, and he began his career working with Nasser Nakib Architect in New York City, where he was in charge of high-end residential projects, creating bespoke furniture and architectural details. He has several interesting projects!
\n\"Meet<\/a>
\nHis motto is to confuse and provoke, in\u00a0order to make people reflect about certain subjects. All his works are a political, social and environmental statements that speak for themselves.
\n\"Meet<\/a>
\nHe develops his\u00a0projects with local artisans that still work with ancient techniques. He believes that nothing is better than a local knowledge to get to know new techniques and materials. At the end, all his projects are a unique and interesting combination between people, different techniques, cultures, and materials.<\/p>\n

Marc Dibeh<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"Meet<\/a>
\nMarc Dibeh is a Beirut\u00a0interior and product designer. He has graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Paris Val De Seine before returning to Beirut in 2006, where he received a Masters in Product Design from the Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts. Three years later, he opened his own studio.
\n\"Meet<\/a>
\nHis design philosophy is pretty simples, such as his projects and products. He believes that the storytelling of a project and a product has to be: timeless. That is why all his products have clean, and simple line, however they are a remarkable design works!
\n\"Meet<\/a>
\nBesides that, he likes working in collaboration with other fellow designers, and almost all his projects are a combo between two creative minds.<\/p>\n

Carla Baz<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"Meet<\/a>
\nCarla Baz is a French-Lebanese designer and she has several novelties! She has released a 13-piece furniture collection all made after her experience with marble.
\n\"Meet<\/a>
\nThe collection includes marble\u00a0furniture and lighting, including tables filled with pools of colourful\u00a0resin.
\n\"Meet<\/a>
\nCarla also wants to elevate design and craftsmanship, and the work with marble is to reflect the fragility of the material, and how, they are so delicate and elegant.<\/p>\n

Anastasia Nysten<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\nAnastasia was born in Canada, and she grew up in different countries, more precisely, Finland, France and Lebanon. This definitely helped her finding a common design language with all these different cultural influences. She received her Master Degree in Industrial Design, in Beirut, while she was working at Karen Chekerdjian design studio.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nAfter Graduation she moved to London to be part of Lighting designer Michael Anastassiades\u2019 team\u00a0for three years. And, there is more!\u00a0In 2015, Anastasia has been editor of Selections magazine in Dubai, UAE where she now lives and works.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nHer firm has furniture, products and design spaces\u2019 projects to offer, and they are all a reinterpretation of already known products or elements.
\nCaramel Studio<\/strong>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nStudio Caramel is a Beirut based interior and product design studio. It was found in 2016 by designers\u00a0Karl Chucri and Rami Boushdid.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nThis studio develops several different interior solutions, and products such as furniture and objects.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nTheir products can be defined as classic, but also funky, with a very peculiar silhouette. The key of these two master minds is to use bold details and materials.<\/p>\n

Paola Sakr<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nLast, but not least, Paola Sakr. She is a Beirut established designer and she has a great passion for photography and art.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nHer work was already recognized before, she exposed her work at Beirut Design Week 2016 and 2017.
\n\"\"<\/a>She considers that her works are a constant and timeless combo with the world. Each project and product tells a story of a certain time. For example, one of her projects are a variety of pieces build with abandoned other pieces, and the result is absolutely remarkable!<\/p>\n
