We wanted to start this article with this specific question. Every year, the Dutch Design Week<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 DDW<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 has a theme, and this year\u2019s theme is precisely asking If not us, then who?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>It\u2019s a Dutch design event<\/strong> <\/em>that takes place in the city of Eindhoven, and it\u2019s different form all the others, because it takes a special look to the future!<\/p>\n

\nLet\u2019s get back to 1998, when everything started! At that year, a designers collaborative called\u00a0 Vormgeversoverleg decided to organize a Day of Design.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSince then, Eidhoven was the stage of this day of design, and since 2002 it start being the week of design! The main goal was to put designers and entrepeneurs side by side!

\nDDW<\/strong><\/em> has grown, and now, the design event<\/strong> <\/em>counts more than\u00a02600 designers, 110 locations and 400 events, and, of course, we cannot forget about the parties, drinks and good food!

\nThis year\u2019s edition will happen between the 20th and the 28th of October, and it will surprise its visitors with all the activities: \u201cIn more than hundred locations across the city, DDW 2018<\/strong> organises and facilitates exhibitions, lectures, prize ceremonies, networking events, debates and festivities\u201d.<\/em>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nLike we said before, it\u2019s a special design event because, every edition, it observes the development of design and the work of young designers. If we had to say it in a few words, it would be: it\u2019s all about innovation, experiment and cross-overs.
\n\"Dutch<\/a>
\nThe main of the design event is more than presenting the new designers\u2019 work. It\u2019s about giving them the opoortunity to belong to a platform of professionals, so they can have new opportunities, and we can witness the development of their talent!
