Alexander McQueen<\/a><\/em> has finally unveiled his first Japanese boutique. <\/strong><\/em>With a\u00a04198 square feet area, it\u2019s located right in the heart of the Aoyama district\u00a0in Tokyo. The haute couture<\/em> designer now joins, this way, his competitors\u00a0Givenchy<\/a>, Prada<\/a>, Marc Jacobs<\/a> and Balenciaga<\/a>.

\nThe store has two floors and on display has both man and woman\u2019s collections and ready-to-wear. The accessories, as well as other essentials such as patterned scarves and shiny skull jewelry, are displayed on showcases. Designed by Sarah Burton who is the brand\u2019s artistic director and in partnership with David Collins Studio, the new store comes in a palette of gray, lilac, white and gold, meeting the higher\u00a0design<\/em> standards.

\nDecorated with\u00a0Calacatta Oro,\u00a0a cracked white marble floor, gray leather furniture and black lacquer finish, the store has many characteristic traits that make it a unique shopping space, including the artwork of the two contemporary<\/em> artists Takeo Hanazawa and Takao Togashi, which can both be seen suspended from the ceiling and\u00a0hung in the center of the staircase.

\nThe walls are covered with plaster. Furthermore, you can see a panel with a wing pattern and several other motifs such as shells, cactus flowers, seahorses<\/span>, skulls, gargoyles and leaves. The modern color scheme chosen for the store gives the space a sophisticated atmosphere.
