David Collins<\/strong><\/em> was undoubtedly one of the best interior designers of his time.
\nGone too ahead of its time, suddenly passing away in 2013, Collins was, during his lifetime, a top interior designer, inspiring others and creating some of the most beautiful interior designs this world has ever seen.

\nBorn into a family of architects in Dublin, March 1955, young David Collins<\/a> early seemed to show an interest in everything connected to light and design. Pursuing an architectural degree at the Bolton Street School of Architecture, Collins decided to change his path and, upon finishing his bachelor\u2019s degree, he decided to proceed with his professional life by becoming an interior designer. From there, he decided to move to London, where he had the chance to redecorate a friend\u2019s house. This project would become the early stage of the creation of his own firm, the David Collins Studio<\/a>. This came to be in 1985 when the studio was mainly \u201cspecialising in small interior architectural jobs\u201d. However, Collins and his partner,\u00a0Iain Watson, quickly had to start innovating and changing their creative vision. This particular vision, nonetheless, was very clear to them: \u201cprojects that are a sophisticated counterpoint between aesthetics and rationale\u201d.
\nWith this spirit in mind, Collins Studio and David himself have been collecting many prizes along the years, such as:
\nBest Bar in 2009, by Time Out London, with the project \u201cThe Blue Bar<\/a>\u201d in the Berkeley Hotel in London

\nBest Interior Design of the Year of 2009, by Elle Decoration British Design Awards, with the project \u201cThe Connaught Bar<\/a>\u201c, at The Connaught in London;
\nWorld\u2019s Best Bar in 2016, by Cocktail Spirited Awards, again with the project \u201cThe Connaught Bar\u201d, at The Connaught in London.

\nRestaurant of the Year of 2013, by Tater, with the project \u201cColbert<\/a>\u201d in London
\n\"TOP<\/a>
\nBest Bar in the World in 2015, by World\u2019s Fifty Best Bars, with the project \u201cArtesian<\/a>\u201c, at the Langham Hotel in London
\n\"TOP<\/a>
\nPrix Versailles in 2016, with the project \u201cAlexander McQueen<\/a>\u201d in Paris
\n\"TOP<\/a>
\nAside from these and many more interior design awards, David Collins also received praise as a designer winning Designer of the Year in 2011, by Quintessentially and\u00a0a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013, by Walpole.

\nAnd even though his studio is mostly recognized because of its works and partnerships with renowned brands such as Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo, and worldly famous hotels like The Connaught and the Berkeley Hotel in London, Collins Studio does also an amazing job with private clients.
