\nDaniele Petteno, to renovate this apartment, used a monochrome palette and created a large window between its black kitchen and light-toned bedroom.

\nSituated on the ground floor of a late 19th-century Edwardian terrace building, the\u00a0designers choose a concept based \u201con the contemporary reinterpretation of the British Edwardian two-room layout, with one big room at the front and one at the rear, to both reveal the original room proportions and enhance the two beautiful and monumental windows at the front\u201d.

\nThe heart of the house is a glass partition that splits the kitchen and the room, also allowing the\u00a0natural light to be shared by the pair of spaces either side. When the privacy is required, a screen can be pulled down.\u00a0\u201cThis opening really works like an additional big window inside the house,\u201d said the design team.
