Food and Design, a perfect combination for the city of tendencies. We’re speaking about Milan and its Design Week with “Mi Gusto Tortona 2013”. Happening during this week at the heart of Milan, the most exclusive wine and food get together to become art. After the success of 2012 open your mind to the concept of new food, that combines a quality food chain and the creativity of chefs coming from every part of the globe.
Some of the most famous chefs, both nationally and internationally known, will move inside the kitchens of “Mi Gusto Tortona 2013” with Show Cooking, where the spotlight is one the excellent food from the region in a short chain logic. In a dedicated area open to the public, each chef will interpret a product from the Lombard tradition with exquisite recipes and tools, using an innovating design. The concept to be developed is Street Food.
Innumerous food tastings will happen, along with food design, performances in the arts involving food, debates with institutional representatives, lectures and sector specialists. Along Via Tortona three areas will be created for the event: the first one dedicated to “show cooking”, with the masters in field of cooking in action. The second area is a “Farmer Street Food” with a trip for the senses through taste and design under the shape of beverages and street food. Finally, “Mi Gusto Tortona, a multitasked space that gathers food and highlights wine from the region, along with a real talk show studio. The gastronauts that visit Via Tortona can participate in a photography contest that will collect the best pictures from this 2013’s edition, contributing for the online diffusion of the venue, making it viral. Each contestant, through his shots, will work in order to make a report of the whole event, in a crowdsourcing event.
