Design Academy Eindhoven is one of the most famous and prestigious design schools worldwide so it’s no surprise one of the main attractions is the exhibition of the school’s graduates. This year’s theme is all about “stretch” and have been announced over 600 events condensed in one week, so you might have to make a few decisions.
The organizers have revealed there will be a lot of trends this year and confirmed some of the hot topics you will see like the processes of digitalization and robotization of our society.
“Social issues and the circular economy also get plenty of attention and there is a special role for crafts: the rediscovery of old manufacturing methods or the development of entirely new applications for them.” – explained the organizers.
Some of this year’s locations include Design Academy Eindhoven and the Sectie-C area. The Ketelhuisplein area of the city will also be the centre of attentions with many exhibitions, pop-up bars and food stalls.
