IKEA Launches Their First Furniture Collection For Cats and Dogs

The Lurvig Collection is the new affordable pet products line by IKEA

There’s good news for pet lovers! IKEA launched their first furniture collection for cats and dogs for those who love to spoil their pets. Even better than that, the collection aims to be affordable and nice-looking. If you can’t wait to know more about this, keep reading!

Inma Bermudéz saw the gap in the market for nice-looking affordable pet products and teamed up with the Swedish company to design The Lurvig Collection, including scaled-down versions of some of the most iconic IKEA products, like the Klippan Sofa.

The collection covers the basic pet necessities: sleep, eat, walk and travel. For example, for sleep, besides the mini Klippan Sofa there’s also cocooning inserts that fir into Kallax shelving units.
“The piece that I’m most proud of is a pet cushion: we encourage owners to fill it with their old clothes, blankets or towels,” Inma Bermudéz explained. “The idea is that pets get a comfortable cushion with comfortable, familiar smells too.” This special cushion is only one of the 62 pieces that complete the Lurvig Collection that also offers scratching mats, eating bowls, collars, and a brush.
The designer thought of everything, there’s even something for those not so pleasant moments of having a pet – there are colored poo bags and a litter tray shovel.
