Mercedes-Benz finally revealed the design of their first Superyacht!
Was in 2012, at the Monaco Yacht Show, when Mercedes first unveiled their concept for the Mercedes-Benz Motor Yacht, now we can finally know the Arrow460-Granturismo.
The German car manufacturer finally brought its century of innovation and design into the world of yachting, joining the ranks of Bugatti and Aston Martin. To announce the entry to the Superyacht’s world, the brand chose the luxury and the wealth of French Riviera. It was on the crystal clear, tranquil waters of the Côte d’Azur, where they first launched the stunning Arrow460-Granturismo.
Bringing the industry-leading innovations and opulent designs to the seas, the Arrow460-Granturismo, created in partnership with U.K.-based Silver Arrow Marine, borrows the attention to details and revolutionary design just like the brand has accustomed us.
“This new motor yacht, with its emotional and high-tech features, embodies our Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of sensual purity and is a perfect expression of modern luxury,” said Gorden Wagener, vice president of design at Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, in a statement.
It’s easy to compare the Arrow460-Granturismo design with the Mercedes Benz’s sports cars. The elements contained reflect the dynamic design that the german brand stands for. With 14 meters long the ‘silver arrow of the seas’ can accommodate 10 passengers , runs with 480 horsepower and a top speed of 40 knots and has a massive windscreen that can be raised to create a protective archway, shielding passengers from UV rays while allowing ocean breezes to cool them off.
The luxury air-conditioned interior typifies Mercedes-Benz’s style, including an upscale bathroom, a wine cellar, a dressing room, and an ice-making machine. The yacht’s interior features an elegant ambience that provides the German car manufacture’s signature style on board.
