Robert Dye Architects, a London-based company, has transformed this place into a stunning contemporary house using a fusion of old and new. The company is well known for restoring and expanding historic buildings and made a brilliant job with that one. Take a look!

Along with adding solar panels, for electricity and hot water, they installed new exterior insulation in order to thoroughly protect the aging building. While the structure itself was preserved as much as possible, they also installed new double-glazed sash windows on the front and refurbished the rear windows.

In the entrance, you’ll find a hall with original floor tiles that will follow you into an open space that combines the dining and kitchen areas. With natural light pouring in from both sides, the dining room benefits from an original fireplace.
