OPEN PLAN CONTEMPORARY HOUSE WITH MODERN LAMPS AND DREAMY OUTDOOR
Wanting to renovate her home – Oban House -, the owner teamed up with one of our favorite interior designers, Simone Haag. What the Australian designer did was essentially assist the client with a series of furniture pieces selected to complement their existing collection, the architecture of the home designed by Workroom and constructed by the client, Agushi Constructions. In the end, this open plan contemporary house was filled with stunning furniture, very modern lamps and an outdoor that most of us only dream of.
Being the lighting design lovers that we are, the first thing that caught our attention in this modern home was this perfect reading nook with a minimalist white floor lamp. Not only do the lamp’s simple lines create a great harmony with the accent chair chosen, but they also create the perfect harmony with the simple outdoor design we can see peeking through the window.

We could not not talk about this very classic contemporary lighting design by Flos. Aim was designed by R. &. E. Bouroullec in 2013 for Flos, and it is no surprise how elegant, yet casual it makes any dining room look. The perfect choice for this dining room, without a doubt!
Styled by Simone Haag herself, this contemporary home decor is unsurprisingly breathtaking. Everywhere you look there are ceiling-tall windows and lots and lots of daylight. Using clean-lined and more minimalist furniture helped to create the easy feeling we can sense picture after picture.
For the outdoor decor, the interior stylist chose to keep it simple with white furniture, which contrasts beautifully with the clear blue pool. Below you can also see other more private rooms, where light wood and minimalism emphasize the house’s core qualities.
