The store is expected to open this month with the help of the interior design firm Roman and Williams, whose work is familiar to the actress. In fact, Gwyneth Paltrow has worked with the founders, Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, on a few projects that include her Goop pop-up store in New York as well as her apartment, also in New York.
The Goop Lab will be a 1,300-square-foot space, located in Brentwood Country Mart, where Gwyneth Paltrow spent a lot of time ever since she was a child. “Goop Lab’s space even occupies part of the candy store I used to walk to.” – explained the actress to Architectural Digest.
Customers of the Goop Lap will have a space to try on some products, a kitchen for cooking demonstrations and some events, a greenhouse and a porch. All of this is completed with a living room when people can lounge in.
“We bring ideas to the table and we share concepts and share ideas and share details that bring the fundamental principles of the brand to life” explains Standefer, taking notice of the proactive role the actress had in the whole process.
