Compartés Chocolatier is highly recognized for its premium handmade chocolate and their new store is a combination of sophistication and the colorful world of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
The second customers walk through the door, they’re immediately taken to a different world. Handwritten price lists, ornamented gold details and geometric carved patterns on the wall are some of the project’s features that remind you of art deco glam, but that’s not all from Kelly Wearstler’s thoughtful design.
Three marble and brass sections run from the shelves – where hundreds of beautifully wrapped chocolate bars sit – along the floor, creating a pattern of alternating marble and wood bars.
Green walls, arched ceilings, and hand-painted tiles are other features of this dreamy decor, but the most incredible thing may not be in the design. There’s a hot chocolate station in the store, ready to be served, alongside different toppings displayed in clear glass containers.
After seeing this, we think Kelly Wearstler should definitely keep doing more retail projects!
