One of the most glamorous events of the year is coming, and you need to know everything about it!

Save the date! Finally, the announcement of the Oscar nominations took place at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater by Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross. This year’s edition will be presented once again at the Dolby Theater at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood. The first thing that we can unveil is that there are two major movies that are taking over the nominations: The Favourite and Roma.

BEST PICTURE

Besides Roma and The Favourite, Black Panther, Bohemian Rapsody, Green Book, A Star is Born and Vice were nominated.

On the past weeks, Bohemian Rapsody and A Star is Born were two of the most seen and talked movies. A Star is Born, actually won a couple of golden globes for best original song and best actor. Do you think that it has what is takes to win this category?

BEST DIRECTOR

On the run for the golden statue, there are, once again, the directors of the movies Roma, and The Favourite.

Yalitza Aparício, director of Roma, and Olivia Colman, from The Favourite, are the top choices, alongside with the other nominations: Glenn Close (The Wife), Lady Gaga (A Star is Born), and Melissa McCharthy (Can you Ever Forgive me?).

BEST ACTRESS

On the run for the best actress is, of course, Lady Gaga, one of the top choices for this year’s golden statue.

The other nominees are Melissa McCarthy, Olivia Colman, Yalitza Aparício, and Glenn Close.

BEST ACTORS

Rami Malek and Bradley Cooper are the center of attention for the award prize!
Christian Bale, William Dafoe, Viggo Mortensen, are the others names on the run for the golden statue. Which one do you think that is going to take the oscar home?
