Bosco Sodi is a renowned artist that has recently built a private home for their family on the grounds of Casa Wabi, in Mexico. It was designed by the artist and his wife, and decorated by Decada, a well-established Mexico city design studio. The final result emerges a feeling of an endless Summer and a special concern towards Nature and its elements.
Bosco Sodi understands the importance of time and patience. We’ve been facing tough times, and waiting for a better future has become a virtue. Sodi’s family brand-new rustic private house is a daily brief mental vacation.
Bosco’s best-known paintings are characterized by a bold mixture of pigment, wood, glue, and natural fibers – “Things become beautiful the more time passes,” says Sodi. “I want to work with the elements, not against them.”
His house décor also reflects a special concern towards Nature and its elements. A modern rustic décor that features natural and recycled materials in all areas of the house.
This house is located in Puerto Escondido (hidden harbor in english), a surfing hot spot in the Pacific Ocean – known for having no memories. “The beachfront home combines concrete, clay, and timber into a series of open-air palapas, the surfaces of which will weather with each salty breeze.”
The best part is that this house is also eco-friendly, “there’s no air-conditioning—just ceiling fans—and only spotty internet. Outside, a pool extends dramatically toward the waves, reflecting every sunset, every day gone by.”
There are so many thoughtful details; it’s hard to know where to look first! Upon closer inspection, we find notable vintage treasures in the front porch and in many areas of the house, such as in the rustic kitchen. One look up at the ceiling and you’ll be captivated by an array of varying shades of wood.
Beneath the ceiling sits a rustic daybed in a full view of natural light that glides in through a nearby window!
