UDesignneeds no introduction. The award-winning architectural design company is located in Marbella, Spain, and has been making waves in the design field due to its contemporary yet luxurious design projects. The team of design experts offers comprehensive services in architecture, interiors, 3D visualization, bespoke furniture and project management.
The team aims creating spaces that evoke emotions and that reflect who the client is. “We love our work and are passionate about every project we undertake. Our facilities extend to a total of 3.500 m² of factories, workshops, and showroom exhibition space. Design is transformative. Design excellence produces exceptional spaces that enhance and enrich the human experience. We design to capture the imagination, lift the spirit and create spaces of lasting beauty and functionality. We believe in each other and are a team-focused company, committed to design, innovation and creativity. We believe our clients to be our most important partners.”
The team already has a wide portfolio filled with some of the most distinguished design projects we’ve ever seen! The task of picking one of the projects was pretty hard, however this all-white residential project made our design lover’s heart burst!
“Villa Serenity is true to its name: with its palette limited almost exclusively to white, black and dark bronze, it has a calming effect, similar to that of a boutique retreat hotel. Nature plays an important part too – a garden made in signature UDesigns style brings bonsai trees and plants into the living space, blurring the line between the outdoors and the indoors. This effect is taken further by the choice of main materials – wood and natural stone prevail, creating a minimalist and almost Japanese feel.”
Though white spaces always look calm and cohesive, they also run the risk of appearing stark, something the designers were conscious of when decorating each room. Thanks to a few insider tricks, they managed to create a stunning space that’s a lesson in monochromatic design.
“Villa Serenity is laconic in its design, where noting distracts from its main elements – nature and light. This very private house with numerous chill-out zones and seating areas is a perfect place to decompress after a stressful day at work – that is, if you could even get stressed in an office with such views.”
“Working from home is the new normal, which puts the need for a comfortable compromise between a quiet office space and not being totally isolated from the rest of the house on the front burner of interior design solutions. With a fully transparent mezzanine office overlooking the lounge and the hills over the Mediterranean, the owner of this house gets the best of both worlds.”
As much as we love a colorful room—there’s one type of space that will never go out of style: all-white interiors. Whether it’s a light and bright kitchen or a colorless living room filled with textures and intriguing art, there’s something timeless and soothing about a bleached-out space.
Different shades of white and layering of textures and subtle hints of pale faded shades are key. It’s also important to create reflective moments with lighting, mirrors, and a few key pieces of art.
There’s just something about an all-white bedroom that exudes comfort in a chic, classic way. There’s a reason black and white is such a traditional color combo. If you are looking for a way to add a bit of color to your white bedroom, consider a sharp black accent, such as a painted dresser or a cozy throw. The contrast is eye-catching, but still feels minimalist and neutral.
