When it comes to combine the cultures and modern design, hardly we could find different cultures as the Italian and Chinese. Italian with the long term European traditions and Chinese which was for ages mystery for most of the people. One mixed couple of Italian and Chinese decided to change this, and together with studio Ramoprimo, created a wine bar which can convince us that it was a great decision.

The main project also as the company is based in Beijing by Italian architects Marcella Campa and Stefano Avesani and the projects are mostly focussed on the range of the projects from the urban planning to architecture, interior design and graphics. Main focus of the studio is the interaction between the social and to build environment that offers at different scales vibrant design solutions for any contemporary urban living needs.
Designing the interior they used bricks as the central decorative elements representing both of the cultures and their connection. As for the name of the wine bar and the logo, they chose mouth, came from the Italian “bocca”. However, in all the project we can find a lot of contrasts, as for the opposite elements of warm and natural versus young and pop, traditional bricks versus polished resin. To mitigate the bright and maybe a little bit of shocking yellow colour of the floor, we may see the wooden tables together with the grey and black hues of the customized furniture fabrics. The logo, the mouth, were designed and decorated on the custom-made rice wallpaper which we can see inside of the bar and also on the facade of the building.
The contrasting yellow floor visually connects the kitchen and the other parts of the winebar finishing outside as the public bench. The winebar has 3 parts according to the requests of the clients, a breakfast bar in the morning, place for lunch and a wine bar for evenings.
In the interior of the winebar we can see two huge geometric custom-made chandeliers for making the whole atmosphere of the space more vibrant and to evoke the surprise and the festivity feeling of the town festivals, which they are used to make in the south of Italy. During the day its modern, contemporary geometric chandelier, however, during the night when the light is off they turn the ceiling into the sky full of stars.
