Wall Art in interior design is usually treated as an afterthought. However, we’re here to argue that by relegating wall art to the side lines, you’re missing out on an amazing design opportunity. When chosen thoughtfully, the right wall art can provide for the entire room.
Wall Arts provide an instant color palette, actually, besides creating a focal point. “Choosing a color palette can be one of the most daunting facets of designing your interiors. The amount of varying shades of paint that are available at your local home improvement store can seem absolutely endless. It can be difficult to narrow down the possibilities into the colors that best fit your vision for the space”.
In addition to paintings and prints, the right selection of sculptures and boxes will add texture and depth to the interior décor. This ‘extra’ texture will add visual weight to the ambiance, and will help determine the tone of the room and what it makes us feel. If you think more about it, rough textures usually put together an intimate space; while smooth textures bring aloof tone to the interiors.
Art makes the décor appear finished: it is a finishing element that can pull a space together. A space that goes from functional and simple to the ultimate interior décor, featured in a renowned design magazine.
Capsule Arts had the chance to create the concept and work alongside with designers, guaranteeing a cohesive décor: a series of sculptures inspired by planets and colors of the night sky.
“We further developed a collection of smaller accent pieces featuring the sun and moon on black and white marble bases. Across the project we also created a series of feature displays and compositions to elevate objects. These included geodes, metal branches and decorative accessories in acrylic boxes, as well as plates and objects in box frames”, said the company.
In the public areas of the hotel, the team decided to explore another perspective of the day’s sky: accessories inspired by nature such as birdsa and insects, “sunlight streaming through the tree canopy, and gazing up at the sky, these decorative elements allude to forms, colors and textures found in this context”.
The story is complemented by colors, textures and specific arragements.
