We’ve been through rough times, and this years was definitely not easy for Modern Family Star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The pandemic crisis has affected us all, the fear of the unknown territory vanished when the actor new that in mid-July a baby was coming. “It was nice to have that reassurance that there was something concrete to look forward to”, he claimed. Alongside with Breegan Jane, a renowned interior designers who stars with Ferguson on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the couple created the nursery of their dreams! It was a challenge due to the lockdown orders in California. It took place later, however the designer managed to work her magic before the birth of the couple’s son.
Interiors have the ability to set the mood. emerging feelings and emotions. Jesse and Justin knew exactly what they wanted for their son’s bedroom : “We wanted it to be a space that we were all comfortable in. We loved the idea of a joyful rainbow type thing, but we didn’t want to be so literal, so we sort of picked our favorite colors of the rainbow which were greens and golds and yellow.“, said Jesse.
The biggest goal of any design expert is to deliver a final result that fulfils the client’s needs and wishes, and, in this case, knowing Jesse, this interior design project was even more important to her. “The nursery is fresh, inviting, approachable, and bright, with modern touches”, said the designer.
The couple was present in all stages of the renovation, however Jesse admits that she could still manage to surprise them! “It was all in the little touches. There is this pom-pom mobile above the bed that picks up the colors of the room and pops. The stuffed animals and throw pillows. These aren’t things that we were talking about. They were just nice surprises that made the room above-and-beyond.”
One of the most important features of any home décor is the furnishing and lighting pieces. Modern family star shared that his favorite element of the nursery is indeed the crib, “I guess the centerpiece of the nursery for me is the crib. I spend a lot of time looking at it because I spend a lot of time looking at Beckett while he is sleeping“.
Lighting is also an important feature, especially when balance with natural light. The two of them are capable of emphasizing volumes and shapes of the room, adding contrast. This is our editor’s choice!
