Studiopepe and Carlo Donati are two of the most renowned interior designers, that are always seeking for new challenges, so when they received the invitation to design two exclusive mid-century collections for the Portuguese brands, Essential Home and DelightFULL, they couldn’t have said no! The idea was to blend the two cultures: the touch of luxury and fine Italian design with the best Portuguese craftsmanship techniques.
All the pieces are handmade by talented Portuguese artisans that still use ancient techniques to produce these masterpieces, in order to continue elevating design and craftsmanship. Each piece is unique. Each piece has its own fingerprint and that is the beauty about it!

Passionate about the multidisciplinary side of the design world, Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara di Pinto have become of Italy’s most famous designers thanks to a unique signature style that captures the attention of any design lover. For this brand new furniture collection, the Italian designers decided to go with unique ideas in terms of colors, shapes, and fabrics that in their vision represent perfectly the mid-century modern identity of Essential Home.

Whether it is residential design, villa or even commercial projects the Italian design studio has become one of the most renowned experts not only in Italy but also worldwide. It’s founder, Carlo Donati was born in Zibello (Parma) in 1965 and studied architecture at the Politecnico of Milan where he graduated in 1992. Passionate about the world of design and all of its creative possibilities, Carlo has featured a strong aesthetic and sense of beauty from a young age. “Memories of details in my friends’ houses or in hotels during family vacations have monopolized my imagination since early childhood. Since then, beauty to me represented a matter of proportions, colours and details”, he explained.
“Designing for Essential Home is a challenge I took up with enthusiasm because it gives me the opportunity to work on one of my favorite styles and moods which is the mid-century modern reloaded with new cues and materials”, Carlo Donati.

Some of the pieces of Studipepe and Carlo Donati’s new collections are shaped with the incredible and ancient metalworking technique. This unique craftsmanship art is the process of working with metals to create individual parts, assemblies, or large-scale structures.
The term covers a wide range of work from large ships and bridges to precise engine parts and delicate jewelry. It, therefore, includes a correspondingly wide range of skills, processes, and tools, perfect to achieve Studiopepe and Carlo Donati‘s vision of their new designs.
Traditional upholstery uses high-quality materials and is done by hand, building each layer up.
