Modern Houses In The Future

Do you know how our house design will look life in the future? No? Don’t worry! We have the answer!
H3 House
Most of us want a house that fits in the neighborhood and we usually go with the safe choice: Victorian, contemporary and so on.
A house that is completely different and innovative is only available to the bold and braves (with money, let’s face it). I’m glad that there are some people that can be really original when it comes to revolutionizing house design.

We don’t know much about the future, but we all reckon that green energy and computers will have a great impact in our homes. Some say that our lives will be powered by the sun and the wind and everything in our places will be maintained by computers! What do you think about that?
This post is about some future house designs which will show you that can be real. Others are just on paper… for now!
The Komb House
This is a real project thought by Karim Rahid that has an eco friendly design. The Komb House has a panel heated water, appliances with great energy efficiency levels, reuse of pluvial water and low energy LED lighting. Its materials, such as wood, metal, glass and solar panels can be reused. The inside of the house is divided in four areas: playing, eating, sleeping and cleaning.

H3 House
Located in Athens, Greece, this amazing looking house was designed by 314 Architecture Studio. Its design was inspired on yachts and in the water itself. This house collects geothermal energy.

Tornado Proof Home
Architect Ted Givens, in collaboration with 10 Designs, sketched a house that’s able (on paper) to resist a tornado. How could it be possible for them to achieve that? Here’s a quote to explain: “Hydraulic levers pull the Kevlar-coated house into the ground when high-velocity winds pass by. The high-tech, eco friendly structure’s roof then locks, so neither water and wind enter”. This is the simplest way anyone could put it. If this project ever gets to be done, it could save many, many lives.

California Roll House
This is a concept house designed by Christopher Daniel. It’s was drawn bearing in mind the desert set. This prefabricated house can shape itself according to specific circumstances and possible environmental alterations. Its carbon shell reflects the heat from the sun, which ensures its sustainability.

Actually built or not, these houses have one thing in common: technology combined with the environment. These house designs get the most out of materials and aim to make them eco friendly.
We have very little knowledge about the future, but if these ideas of sustainability and green energy spread through the world, our future generations will certainly have a better quality of life.
