We all know that August is well on its tracks so it’s time to update your design events list for the upcoming month of the busy September. This clearly means lots of planning and with the Fall season coming, we have just the right design trips for you.
With participants from all over 40 countries, the UK design event aims to explore the ways in what design influences our lives, in this case, emotions. With interactive installations, art and design solutions, this will be one of the highest points in design.
Helsinki Design Week
5–15 September, Helsinki, Finland
This Finland design event ranges from fashion shows, exhibitions, talks and workshops. One of the most versatile design events, this year, the Children’s Design Week aims to create opportunities in the younger version of design fans.
Paris Design Week
6–15 September, Paris, France
A fixture in design, this Paris design event has it all. The edition of Paris Design Week 2019 has a lot in store, especially in the edge-of-town trade show Maison et Objet. With plenty to visit, this is one you can’t really afford to miss out on.
As mentioned above, this French trade show is known by it’s plentiful of booths and the trends it sets. Returning with 3000 brands, with 600 new exhibitors this year’s Designer of The Year is Laura Gonzalez. Find Covet Group in Hall 7, C8 – D7 with DelightFULL and Essential Home to keep you company.
9–12 September, Shanghai, China
The international furniture expo returns to Shangai once again, offering its visitors all of what’s going on in the world of contemporary and traditional design.
Spread all over the capital, the London Design Festival 2019 has a lot in store for its visitors. London Design Fair, 100% Design, designjunction and Decorex are just some you can’t really afford to be out of. Offering a unique experience when it comes to design, you will find that DelightFULL will be making a scene at Stand C3A.
19 September – 8 December, Porto and Matosinhos, Portugal
With a wide range of exhibitions, lecture, workshops and presentations, this Porto Design Biennale is spread all over the venues in the cities of Porto and Matosinhos – offering a singular way of getting to know one of the most iconic cities in Europe.
Austria’s design festival features a range of exhibitions and site-specific installations. Every year the event also offers an insight into the creative work of another European country, with Finland set to be guest country for 2019.
